Description:
(COUNCIL MEMBERS)
The meaning of this word is, "shepherd," although in Ephesians 4:11 it is generally translated "pastor." The verb form of this word is poimaino, It means, "to shepherd; to perform the duties of a shepherd." It is used twice in the NT to depict the work of the leadership.

Roles:
Council members are the next line of authority under the officers. They help in various functions of running the kinship, such as, planning events, keeping members informed of the latest news, and monitoring kinship chat and morale. A council member's judgment is to be respected. There are currently 2 council members. The leader and officers will add to that number if necessary. Council members are appointed by the leader and officers.

Description:
(COMMITTEE)
Although it may be used of "elders," it may also be used of other leadership positions & functions in the Body. It refers to "a mental process" (Jack P. Lewis); "the ambition to be chief" (Vine's). It is often translated, "to think; to reckon; suppose; to esteem." It is a state of mind, or mind-set, which motivates one to leadership.
However, this is a leadership not of RULE, but of SERVICE.

Roles:
The committee is the level of leadership in charge of various aspects of kinship life. For example, the events coordinator, PVMP coordinator, etc are all committee positions. The committee is reportable to the council and officers.

Description:
(VETERAN MEMBERS)
This word means, "teacher; instructor." The structure of this sentence in Greek makes it very clear that Paul is referring to one ministry, yet emphasizing two aspects of it: A spiritual leader is both a shepherd and a teacher.

Roles:
We expect our veteran members to guide the new members (shephard) and answer their questions both about the game and the kinship (teacher). Vetern members have access to a larger amount of website tools than do the members and initiates since they have proven themselves. To become a vetern member you must be a part of the kinship for 150 days.

This word means "steward." It refers to one who has been "given a trust" to look after the affairs of another's household.

Roles:
Members have proven themselves to be trustworthy additions to the kinship. They are expected to help their fellow members and represent CoTL wherever they go. To become a member you must be a part of the kinship for 30 days.

This word means: a person newly baptized.

Roles:
Gain an understanding of CoTL policies, as well as the environment that CoTL maintains. A Initiate is someone who is first invited into the kinship.
